River Styx One of the most powerful rivers in the world, the River Styx makes one invincible if they are dipped in it. A person must bathe and choose one small part of his/her body along with a memory of a person (usually a loved one) in order to be anchored to human life. If the bather cannot do this, he/she will disintegrate. |

Judgement Pavilion Spirits who enter the underworld are to be judged at the pavilion. Those who do not want to be judged are sent automatically to the fields of Asphodel, which can be described as, “standing in a wheat field for eternity”. Horrible souls are sent to the fields of Punishment where they are tortured for the rest of time. Souls worthy for praise are sent to Elysium, a heroes’ paradise. Heroes who choose to be reborn three times and do good, are sent to the Isles of Blest. |
