DEMIGOD
2nd Year at Camp
Age: 16
Daughter of Hermes
Alliance: Neutral
Appearance:
Eye(s): Light green in color.
Hair: Red.
Height: 5’4’’
Build Type: Athletic
Brief Description: Violet, quite contrary to her name, has scarlet colored hair, which perhaps is her trademark. She is described to be ‘short and swift’, with the stealth of a leopard, and is often compared to one. Being the daughter of Hermes, she’s agile and flexible, and very quick on her feet when required to be. When she was younger, she had to go through the unfortunate bout of pimples every teenager has experienced. Her style is rather tomboy-ish, with baggy clothes and sometimes, even big black glasses that frame her lovely grass green eyes.
Background:
Mortal Parent(s): Isobel King- mother
Other Family: N/A.
Pets: An albino lavender king snake by the name of ‘Effy’.
Brief History:
Isobel King was an uptight freak of nature that was devoid of love. There was nothing extraordinarily spectacular about her. She was pretty in her own unconventional way, but when have the gods ever cared for the so-called personality, huh? Hermes was horny, Isobel was horny. The outcome of it was a little girl that Isobel immediately named Violet. Like I said, two horny adults with nothing better to do.
A little thing you should know about Isobel King. She isn’t extremely rich, but she’d do anything to lead the perfect life. Sorry, she’d do anything to give the impression of her leading the perfect life. Raising Violet, she suppressed her and never let her do anything out of the norm. She enrolled Violet in private day-schools even when she didn’t have the cash for that. She forced Violet to play the violin, even when Violet had absolutely no interest and skill when it came to music. Violet wasn’t a girl that liked to be suppressed. Heck, this just gave her more of a reason to rebel against her mother. When the dyslexia and ADHD kicked in, Isobel did everything to ignore it. Violet, obviously, couldn’t take it. She couldn’t take it, living with a hag that wanted the perfect daughter, the perfect grades, the perfect family. Even at a young age, Violet knew this wasn’t the way she wanted to live. However, Violet has always been a slight coward. So, what did she do? She did what her mother asked of her. Violet was a trouble-maker that couldn’t listen to authority. However, one person that can always reduce Violet King to a meek little mouse, is Isobel King.
The only person- or animal- Violet has ever loved is her snake. Don’t worry, it isn’t a venom-shooting monster from the Underworld. Effy is her albino lavender king snake, and a rather gentle and loving one too. Isobel King doesn’t approve of it, but Violet would do absolutely anything for the snake. Anything.
It was when Violet was fourteen. The weather was extremely bad, and it was raining cats and dogs. Violet didn’t mind the rain, but her mother did. She didn’t want to go back home and get a yelling, did she? Covering her head with her bag, she ran across town, but suddenly dashed into what seemed like a rock. The rock just happened to be a hungry Cyclops, and poor Violet didn’t know what to do. She ran. At school, she was always the best runner and one of the best athletes, but now, she didn’t feel like one. She felt like a coward, running away from her fears. As expected, she was shipped off to Camp Half-Blood. She never felt like a camper there. She’s always felt like an outsider, a coward that doesn’t belong.
Personality:
Violet’s always known to be a troublemaker. Everyone knows her as ‘that extremely swift Hermes girl that can’t stay put’. She doesn’t listen to authority. She’s a contrarian in some aspects. ‘Don’t’ is a word Violet doesn’t understand. If everyone’s wearing pink, she’ll wear blue. If everyone’s wearing blue, she’ll wear pink. She has this odd need to stick out like a sore thumb. She’s got a quirky sense of humor that sometimes tends to be hurtful. She doesn’t think twice before doing something, and always relies on intuition. She absolutely hates anything to do with ‘gossip, make-up, and dresses’. Although she’s not the brightest crayon in the box, she gets along with the Athena kids due to her curious and inquisitive nature. She just needs to know everything. Although she doesn’t like it much, Violet knows about all the gossip running about. One thing Violet can’t deal with is retaliation and picking a side. She just can’t deal with the drama of things.
When it comes to love, Violet is a bit of a cynic. She doesn't believe in love, if one can believe that. According to her, the word has lost its meaning. "L-O-V-E's just another word I'll never learn to pronounce". Yeah, like the song.

Fighting Specialty: Violet is exceptionally good when it comes to defense, with her quick reflexes and slight frame. She’s swift, but isn’t that great when it comes to offense. She’s decent with a bow and arrow, but not the best.
Describe the extent of your powers/abilities: Being the daughter of Hermes, she’s stealthy and quick. She’s flexible, and has just comes to terms with her teleportation abilities. Of course, she’s really bad at it, but she’s practising. Due to her nerves, she tends to get nervous and anxious very quickly, which affects her teleportation abilities.
Fatal Flaw: Insecurity.
Theme Song: For A Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic
Lyrics
Just talk yourself up
And tear yourself down
You've hit your one wall
Now find a way around
Well what's the problem?
You've got a lot of nerve
So what did you think I would say?
No you can't run away, no you can't run away
So what did you think I would say?
No you can't run away, no you can't run away
You wouldn't
I never wanted to say this
You never wanted to stay
I put my faith in you, so much faith
And then you just threw it away
You threw it away
I'm not so naive
My sorry eyes can see
The way you fight shy
Of almost everything
Well, if you give up
You'll get what you deserve
So what did you think I would say?
No you can't run away, no you can't run away
So what did you think I would say?
No you can't run away, no you can't run away
You wouldn't
I never wanted to say this
You never wanted to stay
I put my faith in you, so much faith
And then you just threw it away
You threw it away
You were finished long before
We had even seen the start
Why don't you stand up, be a man about it
Fight with your bare hands about it now
I never wanted to say this
You never wanted to stay, well did you
I put my faith in you, so much faith
And then you just threw it away
I never wanted to say this
You never wanted to stay
And I put my faith in you, so much faith
And then you just threw it away

Scorpius couldn’t help but chuckle at Ryan’s reaction to the story he just made up about a girl. Truth to be told, Michelle was reckoned to be quite good in bed, but Scorpius never saw himself doing it with her. An infamous and notorious slut who’d do anything after a pint of Firewhiskey, Michelle was. However, Scorpius did feel a wee bit guilty of spreading awful rumors about her. He shook his head with a deep sigh, and grinned weakly. However, when Ryan mentioned a particular Potter, Scorpius arched an eyebrow. “You really don’t like that bugger, do you? Oh well. I suppose I could, but you should know, I was just kidding back there. I haven’t tried Michelle out lately. She’s easy, don’t you think? I feel like making out with someone that absolutely despises me.”
Removing a strip of gum from his pocket, Scorpius offered one to Ryan, with a small smile before unwrapping the other and popping it in his mouth. He widened his eyes, and started to chew on his gum noisily. “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!” He gave out what he hoped was a wicked laugh, feeling oddly elated in spite of receiving the shocking letter. One could say that Scorpius Malfoy was in a vindictive mood. He wasn’t ready to do what his parents expected from him. However, in the end, he knew his parents were going to have the last say, whether he liked it or not. That was just how they did it in pureblood families. Screw blood purity, thought Malfoy as he sighed deeply. Now that he had the chance, he’d remove his frustration on a poor victim. In his head, Malfoy went over the list of people that had a thing against him, and at the same time, seemed like they had a thing for him. Candidly speaking, the only person that came to his mind was Jane Sloper. Of course, she could be a complete prick if she wanted to be, but they had their moments, and Scorpius couldn’t deny the fact that he liked her too. Dominique Weasley and Scorpius had had quite an interesting time back in the day too, and Malfoy looked away before Ryan could suspect something. Obviously he didn’t want Ryan to know about it. Ryan was one person that probably detested the girls more than Scorpius did. He might be close to Ryan, but there were boundaries when it came to relationships like these. It was…complicated, to put it simply. There wasn’t another way of saying it. Chewing on the gum slowly, he turned to Ryan. “Any ideas, mate?”
Scorpius clenched his fists when he heard Ryan speak about his father, and he couldn’t help but get envious. It wasn’t fair. It was his parents that had to be kill-joys every freaking time, didn’t they? He turned back to the fire, experiencing an odd sensation as he stared at the dancing flames, thinking about what his best mate had just said. Trying to lighten the situation, he laughed again, winking at Ryan. “Oh, screw this bull-shit, Ryan. Let’s plot against some girls, yes? Oh, and I hear this thing about a particular Sloper girl. I mean, although your sister hates my guts, I wouldn’t mind punching the dude for her if he acts funny and the sorts, alright? Since I don’t have a sister to protect, may as well attempt standing up for yours. However, I’ve got to say. Kevin Kirke is a rather handsome young boy. A little short, not as charming as us, but decent.”
Scorpius grimaced at Ryan’s question, and shrugged. “Not a long time back. It was during our hols, really. I was under the impression that they would be proud of my decision. Looks like I was proved wrong, yeah?”
