DEMIGOD
#3rd Year at Camp
Age: 16
Son/Daughter of Athena
Alliance: Resistance
Appearance:
Eye(s): pale blue
Hair: light brown
Height: 5"9
Build Type: Slim
Brief Description:
Skylar is a tall, skinny, and pale boy with the sad fact of being blind. Since his father is Caucasian, Sky takes most of his looks like the skin tone, the eyes, the hair, and a bit of his personality too. Despite being blind, he tries his best to dress himself but finds it more difficult without the help of his little brother. Since being in camp, Skylar's more cautious on what he throws on himself and can take hours on end making sure that shirt or pants is the one he would wear out in public. Often, he wears the same old Camp t-shirt and just a pair of worn out jeans.
Background:
Mortal Parent(s): Nicholas Walker
Other Family: step-mom: Felicia Rowles, step brother: Andy Walker
Pets: Psycho Turtle (That's really his name)
Brief History:
Nicholas was given the knowledge of plants and farming which attracted Athena to the point of falling of love. Nine months later, little Skylar was born
Farming had been huge in his family, and in Tennessee. It all revolved around Skylar's life, and it also affected his way of living. Since he was blind, he tried to picture and memorize all the twisting roads that went around the cornfield his father grew; also, Sky wanted to learn how to ride a horse so accidentally running into objects couldn't happen. Sadly, his father pulled Sky away from those things and just let studying be his main path. He listened and did so, doing his best in the work despite being blind.
As elementary years rolled by, Skylar was deeply interested in reading and history, but it was read aloud by another person which irritated him. He began to learn Braille but books aren't always available in that writing, so Sky just had to sit back and listen. Also, he had a knack at solving puzzles by hand like the Rubix Cube which he solved within five minutes; anything else that included touching or feeling the item. It all interested him. The things he couldn't see but feel.
As he entered junior high, Nicholas remarried. Felicia and Skylar immediately hated each other with passion, but her three-year old son loved his new older brother which formed a strong brotherly bond between the two. One night, the blind boy invited his friend who was satyr to stay the night over at his place, and his satyr friend did sleepover. It wasn't until three in the morning that a loud growl erupted from outside and startled only Skylar and the friend who were sleeping in the living room. The satyr knew well about their current situation and immediately woke up Mr.Walker to drive them to New York. Sky's father quickly reacted to this and blindly followed it. When they all got outside, a hellhound stood on their yard with its teeth bared. Poor Skylar felt the heavy breathing and paw steps of the beast's movements and already anticipated its move. The satyr gave him a celestial bronze falchion which he used to defend instead of attack. The hellhound mostly lunged at the demigod before barking off his friend and father. Then, a sudden picture of a dog and its muscles, bones, joints, and organs flashed through his mind for half a second. The listening had paid off he guessed. The demigod gripped the weapon and sliced it straight across the hound's throat, killing it for now. As the dog turned into dust, his father grabbed his son and friend and drove at full speed to New York. Weirdly, Mr.Walker didn't get a ticket when they finally reached the woods of Camp Half-Blood. The satyr reassured Skylar's father that he would be safe as long as he stayed in that camp, and that Sky would still be educated and such which was all probably a lie. Still skeptical, Nicholas asked his child if he was alright with this before leaving him. Skylar nodded and followed his friend into the woods where Camp was and spent his summers there. Mr. Walker never spoke anything of that day to his wife and just lied that his son just went to a summer camp.

Theme Song: Leave Out All the Rest by Linkin Park
I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]
Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shed but I made
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are
