((ok so this is pretty much a fanfiction of sorts. This is Levi's journal recounting his first quest he went on. Remember, Levi's only like 15 right now so he dosen't have the same personality as he does in present day))
July 1st, 5th day on the Quest
I think things have gone from bad to worse. Aaron and Ryan don't seem to mind the weather too much. It went from foggy and snowing to foggy and raining in like a few minutes. I'm supposed to be keeping watch, but things are starting to look strange in the fog. It's so cold the ink from my pen is starting to freeze. But the weird thing is that we're camping in a town and there's no one here. It looks like once of those abandoned places that you see in horror movies or in the creepy video games. The place looks like it's just died. I don't know why but it just seems to be a place where the Underworld meets the mortal realm. I keep feeling like I'm being watched, like there's someone behind me. Every sound the wind makes and every sound of snapping branches and rusteling leaves makes me want to jump out of my skin. To be honest it's almost like the air itself is trying to choke me. this place just seems so evil.
So the search continues for Lady Artemis' bow. The Tear Drop Bow. Apparently its made of the finest silver and rarest metals. I can't blame her for wanting it back. It must be one hell of a weapon for us to be sent on a quest for it. Our search for it has brought us out to this little coal mining town in Pennsylvania, It must have been abandoned back in the day after it ran out of things to mine. Even the land looks like it's just given up the will to live. I haven't even seen anything alive since we came to this town. Not even birds or animals. Its almost as if everything has just come to a standstill. Cars are broken down and left to rust and buildings have just been left to the elements.
As of right now we have our tent set up under a large awning on the outskirts of town. Its just deathly quiet and its rather unnerving. I don't know why this place seems to scream for us to stay out, but that's the feeling that I get from it. Aaron thinks that I'm just being silly and a little paranoid since this is my first quest. He also said it might be Queen Hera just trying to mess with my mind, but I really really don't think that's the case. Its unnatural, almost like the vibe I got from the first time I met Lord Hades. It's an unearthly and supernatural sort of vibe. Well this is so much from the first day of how we got here and its time for Aaron to take watch, so I'm gonna go to sleep. Maybe when I wake up I'll be back at camp. One can only dream right?

July 2nd, 6th day on the Quest
So yeah sleep wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. I'm just as tired waking up as I did when i first went to sleep. I think its daylight, but I don't remember falling asleep in a mine shaft. The sheer size of this place just amazes me. There's a soft red glow that's emanating from a fire that looks as if its a couple of thousand feet below us. The smell of sulfur is almost unbearable. There are rusting catwalks that crisscross overhead and none of them look as if they could hold our weight. But Ryan says they will hold. I guess the son of Hephaestus would know more about that stuff then I would. I'm not sure how we ended up here, but Aaron says what we were looking for was here, but he's not sure if it still is actually in this town. I want to believe him but it just doesn't feel like it.
This place we're in now, its raining. I can barely see the sky above us from the hole we're in. It seems that on what we thought was cement, is just slats of steel and iron that have been laid over a cat walk to give it a solid floor. But the weird thing is that the walls of this place are crumbled stone and rusted Iron bars. It even looks as if the walls themselves have been crying blood. Even with the light from the fire below us, there's very little light that can actually help us see where we're going. But lucky me, I was supposed to take point and now my flashlight has gone out. Thank the gods that Aaron was smart enough to bring more batteries with him. If I don't die on this quest, I will always remember to bring a pair of extra underpants and extra batteries.
I kept my knife out, the entire time we were walking, looking for this bow, It sounded like there were footsteps on the grates above us. Every time I looked up, there was nothing, there was no one. I don't know how much help my knife would be against these unseen enemies, but it made me feel better. Maybe I should have my spear out, but I don't want to give away our position any more then I have to. And between you and me, an electric spear could be potentially problematic if there are any monsters in the area. But so far there hasn't been anything living. No monsters, no plants and no animals. Its like the gods themselves have forsaken this place and maybe we should follow their idea and GTFO (get the fuck out). My heart hasn't stopped pounding since we got here, maybe its a sign. Aaron keeps saying its all in my head, he's probably just right. This is pretty much it for the day. Will write some more tomorrow.

July 3rd, 7th day on the Quest
Okay so this is starting to weird me out. After we went to sleep again last night, the town changed once more. Now its back to that foggy swamped town that we found back on our first day in this place. But some how even though it was as if we managed to walk for miles underground, we were in the basement of some sort of store. The paint was peeling from the walls and there seemed to be a layer of dust everywhere. Even in some places it looked as if the wall had rotted completely through. Some of the places we've explored gives me a great sense of sadness. We headed out of the basement to the first floor of the building and nearly died. We ended up in some sort of pet shop. The smell alone was enough to make the paint peel from the walls, which already was happening. The bodies of animals were decaying all over the floor and the cages looked as if they had been broken and smashed. Glass was strewn across the floor and there were smears of blood on the walls. To be honest, that wasn't the worst part.
We stepped out side and the fog just seemed to grow thicker. Once again I got that feeling as if I was being watched and suffocated by the air. Most of the buildings we looked in seemed to be locked except for one. It was a large and ornate theater. Though most of the stuff was in disrepair, The inside of the theater seemed to be a little bit better kept up with. However it was still dusty and crawling with spider webs. Once again it was deathly silent and so dark the beams from our flashlight didn't even seem to cut through the darkness. But little did we know that there was something waiting for us on stage. There it was in all of its glory and ugliness, the Manticore. The spikes from its tail nearly missed Ryan by a few inches as it shot them at each of us. Aaron and I dove under the seats while Ryan deflected them deftly with his sword. My heart started to pound as a few of the spiked landed a foot from my outstretched hand. I've never been more scared before in my entire life.
So whoever the manticore had been working for was the one who had stolen the bow from Lady Artemis. we were able to summarize that much before Aaron killed the manticore, demolishing it to dust. I wasn't much help in the fight. For the most part, I spent my time plastered against the wall trying to not die. One day I think I'll be brave enough to face a monster on my own without having to have my brother and my best friend save my life. The amount of terror in my heart was incomparable to anything else I have ever experienced. My body froze and my brain seemed to break. No matter how much training you have, it never prepares you for the real thing. Until you're staring at something that only wants to end your life, you can't imagine or even fathom what you're going to do or what moves you're going to make. Even now that I think about it I'm breaking out in a cold sweat and my hand is shaking really bad.
I'm so jealous of Aaron. He really lives up to the name of being the son of Zeus. Aaron's battle skills and leadership abilities are something that people will write epic poems about. He probably would be another Achilles, one of the worlds greatest hero's. Hell if Disney ever got a hold of this, they would probably turn him into a mega movie star. But compared to him, I'll just be the footnote in his glorious epic that he calls life. Aaron is such a leader and a great fighter. Even if I trained for a million years I could never compare to his greatness. Sometimes I wonder if we really do have the same dad.
