Brief History:
Born in New York City, Amelia never thought much of life as a child. She was in a Foster Home, what was there in life to like? She grew up quickly and was very aware of the world around her by the young age of 7. She avioded her foster siblings at all cost, unless it was studdy time and was always found in the garden in the back of the home. Some would probably think she was a child of Demeter not Hades if they knew about Greek stuff being true, but they did not know what Amelia did in the garden. You see, she only went there at night to look at the stars, it was like her secret hide out until she turned 8 and she was attacked by her first monster: A Hellhound. It wouldn't have hurt her anyway because she was a child of Hades. But she didn't know that and then resisted from going to her favourite spot in the whole Foster home.
When she turned 10, she ran away from the home and lived on the streets for 2 weeks until taken back to a new home. She was adopted at age 11 and was taken to her new "Perminent home." She was in school for 4 weeks until a satyr fished her out. She was unwillingly taken to camp Half Blood and lived in the Hermes cabin for a month before she was claimed. She then moved to the Hades cabin with Nico and Lilian, her half-siblings. She spent most of her time in the cabin, training or in the mess hall. When she was in her cabin, she would sit and play games, chatting a bit with Nico or listening to music, sometimes singing to herself. When she was training she didn't really care what she did. When she was in the mess hall, she was picking at her food.

I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreamin
But there's a voice inside my head saying you'll never reach it.
Every step I'm taking.
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction.
My faith is shakin.
But I gotta keep tryin.
Gotta keep my head held high.
There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.
The struggles I'm facing.
The chances I'm taking.
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breaking.
I may not know it but these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah.
I Just gotta keep going.
And I gotta be strong.
Just keep pushing on 'cause,
There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
But Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.
Yeah-yeah
There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes you're gonna have to lose.

Katrina sighed as she slipped into her light blue tee and jogging pants, then running down from the Girls Dormatory, she quickly picked up a couple books to take with her. After all, there was never anything better to do if you don't count punching George in the stomach for calling her Kitty. She ran down the stairs, cautious not to fall through one or fall off the end of one that was moving. When she made it to the bottom of all the stairs, Kat jogged out the gaint doors they called an entrance.
She continued on her way to who-knows-where, just jogging and looking around at everything, taking it all in. The beautiful tall trees, the green grass, just... everything. It was hard to believe she had been here for 6 years, it felt like less... Maybe it was just her brother Mitchel's presence that was ruining her fun and enjoyment. Not that she was completely enjoying everything anyway, but Mitchel being there just rained on her parade. Kat continued thinking about all this, distracted in her thought, until... plunk! she ran right into a tree. Nice going, Katrina. she kicked herself mentally.
The sixteen year old sat up, dizzy but okay. When she didn't notice anything moving or doubled in her vision, she got up, collecting her books which had flown everywhere around her and continued jogging to know-where land. She looked around and finally came to a disision: The Black Lake. She made her way over to the waters, sitting down and looking out at the lake, the gaint squid was obviously there, she could see him splashing about his tenticals sprawled in all directions.
Kat opened her book, it was a muggle book called Safe As Houses so far, it took place somewhere in Canada and was about a couple kids getting into trouble during a flood. She liked it, though she couldn't relate to it at all, so what did it matter?. She edged closer to the water so that she could dip her toes in.
She forgot completely about the book, it wasn't very interesting to her right now and didn't make her feel any better, if anything worse. Splashing the surface with her toes she laughed as the Giant Squid decided to join her, though it's tenticals were a bit slimy if it did get the chance to touch her, she didn't care, though she was a bit scared of the sea creature and she had heard stories about it.
Katrina turned to look behind her when the squid turned and headed back into the middle of the water, that was odd, she thought all animals liked attention. Did that count giant sea monsters? She was suprised at who she found sitting behind her about a 50 feet away: George Weasley. That was great. Woohoo, this was going to be fun. She ducked her head, hoping he wouldn't see her, when she had looked at his face he wasn't paying attention to her, he was more focused on the Whomping Willow, or that's where she thought he was looking.
Kat sighed, again deciding on something: The stubborn boy would see her anyway. What was the piont of hiding? He had his own ways of figuring out she was there, for one the giant squid was close to shore. For two, there was no reason for that squid to be close to shore. Katrina got up, picking her books up and walked back to the school, going around a couple of bends and stairs and coming out to the Courtyard where she had seen George, she knew he would not rest until he found her and annoyed the hell out of her, so she might as well get it over with for the day. She snuck up behind him and tapped his shoulder "Hey there, ginger." If he was aloud an embarrasing nickname for her, she could call him one.
