Icestorm lay on her back near the small stream, wide awake as she heard the delicate trickling of the water that ran considerably close to where she was lying. She studied the night sky, she could make out intricate star patterns that dotted the night sky, sparkling and shining in all their glory. She felt the breeze run through her gray pelt and the smell of fresh water fill her lungs. Her eyes were half-closed as she lay amongst the soft leaves that had flown off the trees that were a good few meters away, it was so peaceful at night. No kits running amok, messing with the Warriors' heads, the Queens scolding them. No hyper-active apprentices to stumble across her feet. She loved it, her favourite spot to come on a cloud-less night, the moon shining in the corner of the sky. That was until her sensitive ears picked up some talking only a while away. She growled in annoyance, no-one was going to ruin her lovely night. the stars were out, and that was a rare treat! She rolled over, collecting herself as she got up to her paws and shaking the leaves and grass from her pelt. The air smelt fresh as the paranoia hit her. Suddenly she knew that these we dangerous cats that she was dealing with. With a glint of curiousity she ran, kicking up a bit of bracken as she left her gazing spot. Sure she was rash and didn't think first, but this was pure curiousity leading her brain and train of thought now. She came to a stop near where the voices were coming from. Surely she could've gotten up off her lazy backside and moved to another spot, but that was her favourite spot in the whole territory, and she was determined to find out who the culprit of the voice was. Wait... voices? She strained to listen, but there was definately two voices.
..."Any midnight patrols ahead?""If there was, I would have said something, Haakon. Leave me to scout, you just follow and look pretty."
Some cat called Haakon? What a strange name. Must be a rogue or a kitty-pet. Wait... were they planning to invade? Midnight Patrols? She had to stay and gather more information, if they were to talk at all. then the second cat seemingly slid away back into the shadows of the trees. Good thing that the wind was in her favour. Let's hope that she didn't talk too quickly. Or she was in trouble.
