Demigod
5th Year at Camp
Age: 17
Son/Daughter of Zephyrus
Appearance:
Eye(s): Luri's eyes are dark blue, to the point of almost black actually. They are large and almond shaped, framed by thick lashes and are rather deepset.
Hair: Her hair is usually kept medium in length, though she doesn't bother much with it. She'll run her fingers through it in the morning to make sure the jagged layers don't tangle, but beyond that, no fancy hair products or hairsprays. It is a fiery red color and naturally so.
Height: When Luri was young she was one of the tallest kids in her classes, but she pretty much stopped growing around fourteen so she stands at about 5' 6".
Build Type: Luri has an athletic build, with a long and lean body, wide shoulders, and a strong back. It might be appropriate to tell you now that she has *ahem* wings. One might probably think, wings? Who the hell has wings? Well just like her demigod cousins the Boreads, Luri does. The sad thing is, they're not exactly functional, just dead weight she has to lug around (and she cannot guess what mortals see with the mist but they tend not to notice). Don't even bother asking how she gets her clothes on in the morning, because you'll be promptly slapped very hard across the cheek.
Background:
Mortal Parent(s): Cara Xylander [deceased]
Leonard Xylander, 48
Other Family: None.
Pets: The female Irish Wolfhound Lennon. Four years of age and a giant teddy bear.
Brief History: Luri never had any recollection of who her mother was, but she knows she was a good person, at heart at least. She just had many, many slip ups. One of them being her father, and the other was alcohol. She died a few hours after Luri was born.
Luri was given to Cara's brother, Leonard, who being a lot more responsible than his older sister, raised Luri like his own. Her life was relatively normal, living in Austin until she was eight and then moving to Chicago because of Leonard's job. That was when things started to go a bit haywire.
In the following years Leonard got a lot of calls from schools Luri attended. "Your daughter started a fight." "Your daughter began a food fight." "Your daughter burnt the whole school down."
Ok well the last wasn't her fault. It was the teacher's. After all she had been breathing fire.
But nobody ever believed her. After several attacks only escaped because of her ignorance and the satyr in the shool who was only there for an entirely different demigod, she was finally told about the gods and brought to camp where she has come every summer.
Personality:
Likes:
- Pens with really thin tips: She loves they way they write.
- Tex-Mex: Considering she grew up with a Texan father who didn't exactly know how to cook, she eats a lot of this.
- Whipped cream: Dessert of choice, straight from the can to her mouth.
- ee cummings: She keeps this a secret. She adores poetry, and she'll read as much as she can when no one is looking despite her dyslexia.
- Vintage clothes: Growing up with an old fashioned father encouraged her love of old things and memorabalia.
- Classic movies: James Stewart, Errol Flynn, Gene Kelly. When she couldn't sleep she would sit in her basement and watch her father's extensive collection of movies.
Dislikes:
- Oprah: Scares the hell out of the poor child.
- Canadian Geese: Annoy her.
- ABBA: Shouldn't have to explain this.
- Boring people: She can never stand boring conversations or serious downers.
- Avacado: Strange, but she loves guacamole.
Skills:
- Manipulative: A very persuasive speaker.
- Battle tactics: Her thoughts are always reeling and unpredictable, which surprisingly makes her a pretty good strategist.
- Talking: It's hard to get her to stop, and she's pretty straight up with people and outgoing.
- Acting: Lying, actually, and she's been known to put on pretty good "performances" now and then.
- Pranking: Causing general disruption is fun.
Weaknesses:
- Stubborn: Never backs down.
- Expression: Doesn't express things well.
- Loyalty: Can't trust her, doesn't trust anyone.
- Listening: Can't sit still long enough to pay attention.
- Lazy: If its not something she thinks deserves her effort, she won't try.
Passions:
- Lennon: The only time you'll ever hear the words "I love you." come from her mouth is when she says it to her dog. She takes long walks with her and is never without her.
- Pranking: Keeps her from getting bored.
Fears:
- Comparison: Being compared to people.
- Not being heard: She's afraid there'll be a time when she'll need to be heard and no one will listen.
Hobbies:
- Pranking people.
- Playing guitar.
Fighting Specialty: Hand to hand combat (specifically Martial Arts)
Fatal Flaw: Stubborness. She never knows when to stop.
Theme Song: My Generation
People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)

And don't try to dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby
Why don't you all f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
And don't try to d-dig what we all s-s-say (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm not trying to cause a b-big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-generation (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
This is my generation
This is my generation, baby
People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Just because we g-g-get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
Yeah, I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation)
This is my generation

Role Playing Sample:
A man stepped off the elevator, and Luri brushed slightly by him as she took one large step into the elevator. The three piled in, and Laura quickly shut the door in some lady’s face. Luri chuckled while Laura mouthed the word “sorry” and Hanalise just kind of stood there. She got a nice glare before the elevator dinged once more and they were going up towards Olympus. Yay, getting even closer to more gods that hated her. What fun. The ride up was extremely quiet, no doubt they were all trying to figure out what to do when they got to the top. Finally the elevator door opened with a light ping!
Luri shuffled out, dragging her feet across the marble floor, eyes down, hands in her pockets, and hair falling over her face. At first going to Olympus had seemed like a good idea, until the doors opened and they were there. A lot of the immortals around the place knew her, and not in a good way. She didn’t think it was a smart idea for her to go waltzing onto Olympus uninvited when half of the gods hated her and the other half wanted her dead. She noticed Laura giving her a few quick, anxious glances but the daughter of Eris ignored them completely. She glanced up after a while to see Hana and Laura gazing around with awe in their eyes. Olympus is a death trap. Luri thought with a sneer. She was just being a sourpuss, but she really didn’t like the gods. There it was. She really didn’t like the gods.
She shook her head slightly and chuckled. Of course she was going to help them though. Just to prove to them how much they needed a demigod’s help, and because she was only helping her friends. The trio passed many small temples with minor gods and immortals milling about them. An amphitheater on one side, a lush garden on another. Gods really liked to indulge themselves. It was a perfect day, everybody looked happy, in fact the whole place looked pretty surreal. Luri almost slammed into Laura outside of the Olympian throne rooms. "May we enter the throne room?" Laura was asking. Luri smirked and stepped beside Laura and then inside without waiting for an invitation.
As she stepped in she removed the items in her pockets, two leather wallets. Her chuckling grew slightly louder. She opened one and began searching it, pulling out a few twenties and some credit cards and stuffing them in her pocket. “Good pickings, good pickings…” She murmured to herself. Then she opened the other one and nearly cried going through how much cash was in there. “What was this guy planning on buying? Crack? I’M RICH.” Realizing she pretty much yelled the last part, her eyes darted around. After emptying the wallets of their contents she tossed them outside of the throne room and onto the cold marble stairs. Then she turned around to face the thrones. She saw Hestia sitting there at the Hearth, and then a couple of the Olympians who looked like they were just about to leave.

Please provide some background information on your minor god/goddess: Zephyrus was one of the Anemoi, Greek gods of the winds. He was god of the west wind and a representation of spring, and he is best known for the myth of Hyacinthus.
